80/35 is excited to team up with Fi & Friends to introduce Sensory Tents at this year’s festival. Sensory Tents are calm and predictable spaces that offer multisensory input that promote and support self-regulation during overwhelming sensory experiences and improve access to community events for visitors with sensory challenges.
80/35 believes music is for everyone. By offering sensory tents at this year’s festival, we hope to continue to provide more access to live music to all people who can attend 80/35.

We are a nonprofit organization committed to creating and improving inclusive and supportive environments for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Learn more at fiandfriends.org
2. What is a Sensory Tent?
Calm and predictable spaces that offer multisensory input that promote and support self-regulation during overwhelming sensory experiences. Sensory tents improve access to community events for visitors with sensory challenges.
3. Who can a Sensory Tent help support?
Our sensory tents can support everyone with sensory needs. This includes individuals with Autism, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, developmental delays, and many more individuals whose sensory needs impact their daily lives.
4. Where will the sensory tents be located?
We will have a kid & family friendly area located next to the 80/35 Kids Zone and Community Choice Nonprofit Village, which will be on the Central Library Lawn, accessible from Locust St. An adult-friendly tent will be located in the parking lot on the corner 13th & Locust across from the Bud & Mary’s Stage. Both areas are ADA accessible.
5. What are Sensory Bags?
Fi & Friends sensory support bags are designed to assist with sensory overload. They are filled with items providing individuals the opportunity to attend special events and utilize the bags when/if the event becomes overstimulating. All items in each bag are sanitized and ready for use!
6. Where can I rent a sensory bag?
Both Sensory Tent stations will have sensory bags for attendees to check out. While there is no cost to rent a sensory bag, you will need to provide a driver’s license or credit card to check out a sensory bag, which will need to be returned
at the end of the evening before you leave the festival.
7. What is included in the Family/Kid Friendly Activation Station?
A GATED (Yes, we said gated) SAFE and FUN space for families to enjoy sensory-friendly activities. We will have multiple sensory tables, musical instruments, water tables, dance classes + our sensory tent will be available!
